DriveSooner Editorial Policy

How we research, review and update our driving test information.

Last reviewed: 24 July 2026

Our purpose

DriveSooner publishes practical information for learner drivers in England, Scotland and Wales. Our guides explain driving test booking rules, test-centre information, pass-rate data, waiting times and appointment availability. We aim to make official information easier to understand while clearly separating it from our independent notification service.

Sources we prioritize

For rules and national statistics, we prioritize GOV.UK, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, legislation.gov.uk and published government datasets. Test-centre pass rates and operational details should identify the source period where it is available. We link readers to official guidance so they can verify current requirements.

DriveSooner is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to DVSA, GOV.UK or any UK government body. Official sources remain authoritative where their information differs from a DriveSooner guide.

Updates and review dates

We update articles when booking rules, official guidance or source datasets materially change. Pages show their publication date and, where applicable, an updated date. A page is not given a new date merely to create an appearance of freshness.

Marketing information

Statements about DriveSooner’s service describe the company’s established marketing performance and are not guarantees for an individual learner. Results depend on DVSA availability, test-centre demand and the learner’s chosen dates, times and eligible centres.

Corrections

If an official source changes or a factual error is identified, we review and correct the affected guide while preserving its URL wherever possible. Significant booking decisions should always be confirmed using the current GOV.UK service and guidance.
