Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Immediate Service Commencement
When you purchase a DriveSooner notification plan, we begin setting up your preferences and checking process immediately upon successful payment. This typically occurs within seconds of your payment being processed.
By completing your purchase, you:
- Request and consent to the immediate commencement of the service
- Acknowledge that we will begin incurring costs to provide the service immediately
- Understand that this immediate start affects your cancellation rights
2. No Refund Policy
Once our monitoring service has commenced, refunds are not available.
This is because we incur immediate and ongoing costs to provide the service, including:
- Service Setup Costs: We validate your order, set up your preferences, and prepare your alert service
- Manual Checking Costs: Team time is allocated to checking for possible slots that match your preferences
- Infrastructure Costs: Server time, bandwidth, and system maintenance are consumed from the moment the service begins
- SMS & Communication Costs: Notifications and alerts are sent as part of the service
These costs are incurred regardless of whether a suitable cancellation slot is found during your monitoring period.
3. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase made online.
However, because our service begins immediately upon payment (at your request), your right to cancel ends as soon as the service starts. By completing your purchase, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:
- You want us to begin the service immediately
- You understand this means losing your right to cancel once the service has started
- The service is considered started as soon as we begin setting up your order, validating your details, or checking for possible slots
4. When Refunds May Be Considered
Refunds may only be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Immediate Cancellation: If you contact us within minutes of purchase AND before any setup, validation, or checking has occurred
- Technical Failure: If we are completely unable to provide the service due to a technical issue on our end (not DVSA system issues)
- Duplicate Payment: If you were accidentally charged twice for the same order (we will refund the duplicate)
All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.
5. Service Delivery & Completion
Our service is considered successfully delivered when:
- We provide manual checking and alert coverage for the duration of your plan, OR
- We detect and notify you of a slot matching your preferences via SMS and email alert
The service is fulfilled once we have sent an alert for a matching slot. We are not responsible for whether you are able to act on the alert or whether the slot is still available when you visit the official DVSA booking system. The service is also fulfilled regardless of whether:
- You are able to act on the alert in time
- You miss the notification about an available slot
- No slots become available during your monitoring period (this is outside our control)
- You change your mind about wanting an earlier test
- You pass your test before we detect a slot
Please note: DriveSooner is a notification-only service. When we alert you to a slot, you must log in to the official DVSA booking system yourself and change your test. We manually check for possible availability, but we do not use bots or automation to check the DVSA booking system, and we do not book, change, amend, cancel, swap, hold, reserve, resell, or manage any driving test on your behalf.
6. Satisfaction Guarantee (Paid Plans)
All paid DriveSooner plans include a satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with our service, we will work with you to find a suitable resolution. This may include:
- Extended monitoring period
- Additional support
- Other remedies at our discretion
The satisfaction guarantee does not automatically entitle you to a refund, but demonstrates our commitment to customer service.
7. Chargebacks & Disputes
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer instead of contacting us directly:
- Is a breach of these terms
- May result in your account being suspended
- Will be contested with full evidence of service delivery
We maintain comprehensive records of all service activity, consent acceptance, and communications. If you have a concern, please contact us directly at [email protected] and we will work to resolve it.
8. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify for a refund under the exceptional circumstances listed in Section 4, please:

- Include your order number and the email/phone used at checkout
- Explain why you believe a refund is warranted
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 48 hours.
9. Service Fee
The one-time fee is non-refundable once the service has commenced (i.e. once we have started setting up your order, validating your details, or checking DVSA for possible available slots), as this forms part of the immediate service delivery.
10. Transitional Provisions — 13 March 2026
On 13 March 2026, we simplified our service offering. If you purchased a plan before this date, the refund policy that was in effect at the time of your purchase continues to apply to your order. The policy applicable to your order is captured in your order records.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction. We will indicate the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
